Previously unseen work only.
Whether a single piece or many, ten lines for entire submission.
This will be an Open House issue with two particular rules.
First Rule: Maximum is ten lines of text, in total, for the whole submission.
Example:
You could send:
One free verse poem of ten lines (9 lines of poem plus title).
A haibun could be 9 lines of text (prose and poem) plus title
Or you could choose to send multiple incredibly short pieces of no more than ten lines .
e.g.
Three 3-line haiku individually, or as a sequence (plus title) or nine 1-line haiku with a title, or ten single-line standalone haiku etc…
Depending on which genre you choose (poetry, prose etc…), it can be one poem or several.
Only words, no images. Only horizontal lines, just straight old skool writing.
Second rule:
No mention of words such as:
silence, silent, silently, still, stillness, reflection, reflected, old, young, alone, lonely, lone or other variations of the above.
