Call of the Page  offers one-to-one writing tuition with lead tutor Alan Summers, in the forms haiku (and senryu), tanka, haibun, and linked haiku poetry.

Tuition is available either by email, or video call, or a combination of both. Please see further info and booking information below. In-person one-to-one tuition is suspended for the time being, but we hope to have some outdoor events in the summer of 2022.

SINGLE HAIKU FEEDBACK

We now offer a service for email feedback on just one haiku at a time, which is available almost all year round. There is an "express" next working day service, or the standard within-one-working-week feedback service. This is ideal for a taster, or for quick feedback on a single haiku you might want to finish before going on to write others. 

HOURLY HAIKU & TANKA FEEDBACK

If you would like to send multiple haiku you can also book an hour of written feedback. Send two or three haiku poems for an in-depth response, or up to a dozen for more of an overview of your work. You can also use this service to send between two and eight tanka, or a very short haibun (up to *** words).

MEDIAN HAIBUN FEEDBACK

Due to the longer length of haibun, we allow 75 minutes, for a haibun of up to ***400 words. If your haibun is longer than this, please contact us.

LONGER HAIBUN FEEDBACK

For in-depth feedback on longer haibun, of between 400 and 750 words (between about one and two pages), we allow for 2 hours of feedback. For haibun longer than this, please look at our flexible service, which is offered to people booking three hours or more of one-to-time.
