Admin Assistant

E-mail: courses@callofthepage.org

Alison looks after the administration side of Call of the Page, including the website, course bookings and processing assignments.

During her time with CTP, she has completed the Introducing...Haiku and Tanka Online courses and found a natural affinity with tanka. Prior to this her most successful writing endeavours were at primary school, when she won two school competitions and a local newspaper competition! In the years since her writing has mainly been in a professional and academic context, but she has continued over time to experiment with short stories, poetry, non-fiction and even a novel.

Since completing Tanka Online in 2023 she has had tanka and tanka prose published in Contemporary Haibun Online, Drifting Sands, Blithe Spirit, cattails, the BHS Change Anthology, and was delighted to have her very first published tanka/tanka prose included in the 19th Contemporary Haibun Red Moon Anthology 2024.

Aside from her work with CTP, Alison also designs and delivers training for the charity Astriid who help people with long-term conditions find meaningful work. Astriid were responsible for introducing Alison to Call of the Page and Alison now delivers training to other organisations who want to support and recruit people with long-term conditions. Her previous career before ill-health was in HR and Learning & Development, and she holds an MSc in Organizational Behaviour from Birkbeck University.
