Your Call of the Page Haiku Summer School includes sessions called "Where I'm Writing From". For one of these sessions, that all delegates are invited to attend, you'll be able to show your own "Where I'm Writing From". You'll be invited to send 3 or 4 photos (in jpg format) and 3 or 4 poems of your own to represent you. Don't be shy about including your face in one or two of these so that we can see you in your "habitat"! We'll organise the pictures and poems ahead and be ready to screenshare them, while you talk about the place you are writing from, and answer questions about your writing life and your work.
In the meantime, to give you an idea of what we have in mind, at the bottom of this page are Alan's "where I'm writing from" pictures. He simply took an iPhone out on his daily travels, and this is what represents "where I'm writing from" for Alan.
We're mindful that this is not an "in-person" summer school. But we're excited to see participants get to know each other, and each other's work and inspirations, in this way.
You can send your 3 or 4 poems, and your 3 or 4 jpg photos, any time between enrolling on Haiku Summer School, and by Monday 28th July, to allow us time for making your presentation ready! Please note that enrollment in Haiku Summer School closes Monday 21st July (to allow for the fine detail of the scheduling before Summer School starts).
